Middle America Average Joe continues to be attracted to Infinity Downline in ever increasing numbers. An abundant variety of products/services are available for every personality and lifestyle. While its popularity grows, Infinity Downline is still infamous for so many obscene incomes - yet, heartache and failure for the masses.
As an income arena based on the largest portion of the average population - boasting the most self-made millionaires - do the highest failure rates in modern commerce reflect any inherent flaws? Perhaps. But, in my experience, the potholes in the Infinity Downline highway are more directly related to the way participants themselves approach the business.
Obviously, many people miss at least one (if not several) of the required pieces to successful complete the Infinity Downline puzzle.
1. It’s Called NetWORKing For A Reason: There’s an old saying that will forever remain true. You get out of it what you put into it. If you’re just playing with your Infinity Downline program, you’re playing with your future. If you treat it like a hobby, it will always be a low priority with low results. If you’re serious, treat it like a business and get serious. And yes, it WILL be work. It will be profitable work with long term residual results if done right - but work nonetheless. Stick with it.
Remember that very few ever fail in MLM. Most just quit too soon.
2. Who’s Behind It? Again, we have found that most people overlook or neglect to fully evaluate the company they’re promoting. In many cases, they’re simply promoting “the product” alone. This results from the trap of falling in love with a Infinity Downline product, as described in other articles I’ve written on the subject.
Little consideration is given to the company behind the product. Practical business decisions should include behind-the-scenes factors such as who’s responsible for paying you - what is their experience - are they properly funded for the long haul - and many other issues that affect your long term security. Company longevity and stability directly impact - I hate to say it - “job security” in your Infinity Downline career. Pay plans also play a huge part in the equation and I discuss those in other articles.
3. The Endless Greener Grass: Among the common reasons many MLM’ers misstep is when they get involved in “new” programs - startups. Falling prey to the feeding frenzy that often accompanies a so-called “new” product or concept, thousands of marketing wannabe’s get in line to be first - or near the front of the line - to promote the “latest and greatest.” Greed and a compelling desire to “get more faster” are normal, human qualities that elicit this mentality. However, they also become a business-killing detour on the Infinity Downline highway for most inexperienced home business enthusiasts.
Yes, there are advantages to participating in “startups.” Suffice it to say at this point that the greed and fever pitched hype of a start-up is best left to those with experience. At least, to those who can afford to fail - which is what 98% of start-ups do. For now, the new MLM’er should stick to something with some track record.
Greener grass will always be available. But, because it’s choked with weeds - exaggerated claims, start-ups, scams - wait until you have more business experience before trying new things. Wait until you have the security of a reliable income from your primary Infinity Downline opportunity before thinking of expanding.
4. Only One Foundation Per House: Using the analogy that building your Infinity Downline business is similar to building your dream home - then imagine that you must start with a strong foundation on solid ground. Adding walls and diversifying into specialty rooms is dangerous, if done on a weak foundation.
Carrying that analogy further, understand that your business foundation is NOT complete until you have established a reliable and significant income - some savings - and the peace of mind that whatever happens next month, you’ll be okay. There is no security without a solid foundation.
When you pursue greener grass, you not only do yourself a disservice, but also those on your sales force who look to you for leadership. Whether you jump to a new opportunity and leave your current project behind to fade out - or if you simply attempt to add some greener grass to your home business portfolio - if you have not yet established a strong foundation with ONE Infinity Downline opportunity, then your overall efforts are diminished. Your chances of reaching your ultimate income and security goals are greatly reduced.
It equates to starting a new foundation each time you make the above-mentioned errors. It dilutes your business-building efforts on each foundation and hurts the stability of the original one, regardless of how strong you think it is. This dooms your business potential. Multiple foundations - or any incomplete foundation supporting multiple dream homes - offer no strength and security.
5. Lead By Example: Being a successful MLM’er and one who is to be followed includes establishing a reputation. When you brand yourself, your reputation relies on good business judgment and results. Good results are built on a strong foundation.
Having said that, here’s a basic truism we’ve learned over the years. “People will do what you do, not what you say.”
With that in mind, it’s logical to assume that if you are jumping to greener grass - so are those in your sales force. If you are building a weak foundation, so are your downline members. If you are using the shotgun approach in the hopes of hitting an income home run (aka get rich quick), so will those you are leading down the same path.
Yes, it’s a fact of life that this wonderful industry we call Infinity Downline is overflowing with opportunity. We are bombarded with more and more each day. Once you are well established and have the experience, the security and the large growing list of contacts - then you will also have the know-how to pursue multiple projects.
In the meantime, choose a Infinity Downline opportunity wisely. Make a commitment and get excited. Plan the work and work the plan. Along the way, learn all you can. You will never know too much! Find out more about Michael Clutton’s reviews and suggestions by visiting http://www.michaelclutton.com
